Give and it will be given to you

Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

I don’t know what [if any] faith Sarah Hoidahl posseses, but in this inspiring story we see the fleshing out of God’s Divine Principles.

I love this story.

Now, we know we shouldn’t “give to receive”, for that is not the true spirit of giving, but this story shows us yet again, that man is truly made in God’s image.  It is in God’s character to see, to care, to provide, to love and to bless abundantly those who have shown these attributes toward others.

Naturally we don’t always see an immediate reward, and in fact we may not see any reward this site of Heaven.  I must hasten to add that God is not even “obligated” to reward us for any righteous act.  He alone decides if/when we will even receive a reward.  However it is precious to see this young woman rewarded “this side of Heaven” for her kindness to her fellow man.
